Remove/install

Detach rear engine compartment paneling at the bottom

Turn steering gear to center position

 Do not fix steering wheel in place with holding device.

Unscrew bolt (1)

 Bolt on universal joint

Remove universal joint (2) from steering gear

Remove steering angle sensor

Remove combination switch

Remove retaining clip (3)

Unscrew bolts (4) and remove handle from operating lever of steering wheel height adjuster

Remove steering shaft cover (5)

Remove left cover below dashboard

Remove steering wheel adjuster

Remove steering shaft upwards


The sliding piece must not be separated.
Otherwise the steering wheel center position can no longer be guaranteed.
