N46.10-2047-11
The center position of the steering wheel steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) is crucial for the trouble-free function of the airbag and signaling system. When removed this is guaranteed by the mounting screws (1).
If the clock spring contact was turned however, e.g. with the steering coupling removed or mounting bolts completely removed, then the
center position has to be determined.
1 Screw mounting bolts (1) all the way into the steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1).
2 Carefully turn steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) to the left until a slight resistance becomes noticeable.
Do not overwind the steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1). Otherwise the steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) must be replaced.
The steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) is rolled up completely.
3 Turn steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) 3 to 3.5 turns back to the right until the mounting bolts (1) can be removed again through the openings, and fix the steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) into place.
The entire rotation of the steering wheel clock spring contact (A45/1) is 6 to 7 revolutions.
