1 | Remove corresponding retarder rotor (7) | ||
2 | Remove cover plate (1) | ||
3 | Remove spacer washers (4) | Note order and thickness of spacer washers (4). | |
4 | Remove circlip (2) | Installation: Ensure circlip (2) is seated correctly. | |
5 | Pull out sleeve (3) | ||
6 | Remove radial sealing ring (5) | Do not damage retarder housing, otherwise the radial sealing ring (5) will not seal at this position. | |
Installation: Coat garter spring of the new radial sealing ring (5) with grease. | |||

Long-life grease | |||
7 | Clean retarder in area of the radial sealing ring (5) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
9 | Lubricate the retarder using the lubricating nipple (6) | ||
