Remove/install rotor of Telma retarder

Remove/install

Detach appropriate propeller shaft (1) from rotor flange (2) and tie to one side

 Mark the installation position of the propeller shafts relative to each other and relative to the retarder. The universal joints of the propeller shafts must be fitted with the same angle of rotation.



Remove retainer (4) and unscrew bolts (5)

 Installation: Install new retainer (4).



Detach rotor (3) from rotor shaft

 Mark the installation position of the rotor (3) relative to the rotor shaft and the installation position of the rotors (3) relative to each other.

Install in the reverse order
