| Notes on repairs to brake system | ||
1 | Eliminate vacuum in BAS brake booster (A77) | To do so, depress the brake pedal several times with the engine switched off. | |
2 | Remove engine cover | ||
3 | Lift CDI control unit (N3/9) and pull off vacuum hose (1) | ||
4 | Disconnect connector (2) of vacuum line 1 (3) | ||
5 | Unclip vacuum line 1 (3) from front guides | ||
6 | Disconnect connector (4) of vacuum line 1 (3) and remove vacuum line 1 (3) | ||
7 | Remove cover over brake fluid reservoir | ||
8 | Pull vacuum hose (10) off check valve (11) | ||
9 | Pull check valve (11) with vacuum line 2 (12) out of BAS brake booster (A7/7) | ||
10 | Unclip connection fitting (13) of vacuum line 2 (12) from line guide (14) and remove vacuum line 2 (12) | ||
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Carry out brake test on the test stand | ||
