Remove

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Reduce vacuum in brake booster by depressing brake pedal several times.

Raise vehicle.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling.

Unclip hose (3) from retaining clip (6).

Pull hose (3) out of engine carrier (7).

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Detach vacuum line (4) from electric vacuum pump (1).

 Seal connections.

 Record plug

Remove electric vacuum pump (1) with bracket.

 To do this, remove the bolts (5).



Install

Install electric vacuum pump (1) with bracket.

 Screw in bolts (5) to do this.

 Bolt, vacuum pump to electric motor

Attach vacuum line (4) to electric vacuum pump (1).

 Remove stop plugs.

 Record plug

Connect electrical connector (2).

Insert hose (3) into engine carrier (7).

Clip hose (3) into retaining clips (6).

 Check retaining clips (6) for damage.

If damage is found,



Replace damaged retaining clips (6).

Lower vehicle.

Reset runtime status of electric vacuum pump (1) using vehicle diagnosis system.

When replacing the electric vacuum pump (1).



Perform brake test on brake test stand.
