Remove/install

Secure vehicle to prevent it moving away.

Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and switch on ignition.

Only when the Electronic Air-Processing Unit (EAPU) is replaced.

Perform control unit replacement.

Only when the Electronic Air-Processing Unit (EAPU) is replaced.

Control unit replacement is completely menu-assisted under:
Electronic Air-Processing Unit (EAPU) control unit (A18) 
Adaptation 
Initial startup 
Control unit replacement

Empty compressed-air system completely.

Remove compressed-air line (1).

Union nut, compressed air line to screw-in fitting

Mark compressed air connectors (2) as per labeling on electronic air-processing unit (EAPU) and remove.

Installation: Pay attention to marking.

Disconnect electrical connector (3) at electronic air-processing unit (EAPU).

Remove screws and remove electronic air-processing unit (EAPU) from holder.

Install in the reverse order

Check

Switch off ignition.

Check compressed air connectors (2) on electronic air-processing unit (EAPU) for leak tightness.

Use commercially available leak detector spray.
