1 | Bed in the parking-brake brakes | Leave parking brake applied in first tooth and bed in brake for 6 seconds at a speed of 80 km/h. Then release the parking brake. Do not thermally overload brake. | |
2 | Unscrew one wheel bolt at each of the rear wheels | With a light-alloy rim, remove wheel. | |
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |

4 | Relieve the load on the brake cables of the parking brake via the adjusting screw (1). | The spreader should be relieved of load. | |
5 | Position free wheel nut hole above the adjusting nut (2). | ||
6 | Adjust the adjusting nut (2). | Insert flat screwdriver through the wheel nut hole and rotate the adjusting nut (2) until the wheel locks up. Then turn 4 teeth in opposite direction. | |
7 | Screw in adjusting screw (1) until the brake cables no longer sag | ||
8 | Operate the parking brake 2-3 times | ||
9 | Adjust the brake cable of the parking brake | ||
