2 | Remove operating unit (17) | ||
3 | Remove adjusting unit (11) | To do so remove protective cap (3) from housing (10). | |
4 | Unscrew adjusting nut (4) from adjusting screw (2) | ||
5 | Remove protective cap (3) | ||
6 | Undo trunnion screw (12) | ||
7 | Remove short and long compression springs (13, 14) with pin (15) | ||
8 | Remove piston unit (8) | ||
9 | Remove adjusting ring (5), washer (6) and spiral spring (7) from piston (9) | ||
10 | Repeat steps 3 to 9 when disassembling the opposite side | ||
| Assemble | ||
11 | Install piston unit (8) in housing (10) | Replace washer (6) and spiral spring (7). | |
12 | Install pin (15) and short and long compression springs (13, 14) into trunnion screw (12) | Grease pin (15). | |
13 | Turn trunnion screw (12) into housing (10) | Make sure that the trunnion screw (12) in the piston (9) and pin (15) engages into the helical groove of the adjusting ring (5). | |

14 | Check anti-twist lock (1) for signs of damage | In event of damage replace the anti-twist lock (1). | |
Remove/install anti-twist lock | |||
15 | Push new protective cap (3) onto adjusting screw (2) | Lightly grease the thread and groove of the adjusting screw (2), do not damage protective cap (3) when sliding it on. Ensure that the protective cap (3) is seated correctly in the groove. | |
16 | Grease adjusting nut (4) and screw as far as possible onto adjusting screw (2) | ||
17 | Insert adjusting unit (11) | ||
18 | Fit protective cap (3) onto housing (10) | Slide protective cap (3) on in such a manner that the entire circumference sits in the groove of the housing (10). | |
19 | Repeat steps 11 to 18 when assembling the opposite side | ||
20 | Grease inside of housing (10) | ||
21 | Grease operating unit (17) and insert in the housing (10) | Use new sealing ring (16). Install locking ring (18) and pack housing neck with multipurpose grease. | |
22 | Install wedge unit | Model 675, 676, 677, 679 | |
