Removing thrust piece with bellows

1 Insert new brake pad into outer brake recess.

 To avoid a complete undoing of the threaded tube (3).

2 Undo thrust piece (2) by way of brake adjuster with adapter clockwise by max. 30 mm.

3 Use ejector fork (1) to pry off thrust piece (2) from threaded tube (3).

 The flat side of the puller (1) must face the threaded pipe (3).

4 Apply screwdriver (4) to seat of bellows and drive-in approx. 4 mm. In doing so do not damage the inner seal cap or the seat of the bellows.

 In the event of damage to the inner seal cap the brake caliper will have to be replaced.

5 Pry out bellows.

6 Remove dry liner from cone of threaded tube.

 If corrosion or water penetration is detected on thread of threaded tube, then the brake caliper must be replaced.
