Check if the brake drums present any cracks, scoring or wear

Measure the diameter of the brake drums

Check the brake pads (1) thickness

Remove/install brake linings

 Observe the minimum admissible thickness of the linings, and, if necessary, replace them

 The brake pad thickness can also be observed without dismantling the drum, through the sight holes on the protection plates. For the adjustment values, refer to the Freightliner Company
