Protect the vehicle against involuntary movement

Turn off ignition

Lift the vehicle on one side of the rear axle and support it

Only with the threaded coupling on the rear axle flange connection (3), to the flange connection of the intermediate bearing transmission shaft (4), to the gearbox flange connection (6).

 Lift enough to allow free wheel rotation only.

Ensure the drive shaft (1) with tensioning straps to prevent fall

Remove the transmission shaft (1) from the rear axle drive flange connection (3)

Remove the transmission shaft (1) from the intermediate bearing rear axle drive flange connection (4)

Only in the case of vehicles with an intermediate bearing transmission shaft (5), if only one single drive shaft (1) of the power train has been removed, installed, or if the drive shaft of the intermediate bearing (5) has to be replaced.
