Carry out preconditions and tests for vehicle level measurement

Clean measuring points

 This prevents any measuring errors.

Mount measuring sensor (086a) on spring control arm (17) and read off the vehicle level on the inclinometer (86)

Vehicles without code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series": Mount measuring sensor (086a) between the cast in humps (arrows).

 The connecting cable (086b) of the measuring sensor (086a) must point towards the center of the vehicle otherwise a faulty measurement occurs.

 Measure vehicle level at
 Measuring point 1 (left front) and
 measuring point 2 (right front) and store measured values.

 The connecting cable (086b) of the measuring sensor (086a) must point towards the center of the vehicle otherwise a faulty measurement occurs.

 measuring point 4 (right front) and store measured values.

Check the maximum permissible difference in vehicle level between the left and right side of the vehicle

 Vehicles without code (487) Active Body Control (ABC): The specified test tolerance applies only when checking the vehicle level and not for the calibration.

Vehicles without code (487) Active Body Control (ABC) and without code P99 Black Series: If the vehicle level at the front or rear axle is outside the tolerance, the vehicle level must be adjusted by changing the springs of spring rubber mounts.

Vehicles with code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series": If the vehicle level at the front or rear axle is outside the tolerance:



Adjust suspension.
