Remove wheels

Discharge compressed-air system

Support vehicle on its frame

Disconnect brake wear sensor connector plug (4)



Detach compressed-air lines (3) from combination cylinder

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230".

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6).

 Installation: Check O-rings and replace if necessary.



Notes on compressed air connection systems

Detach hydraulic lines (1) from hydraulic cylinder

 Seal off connections with plugs.

Lift trailing axle (5) on the wheel hub

 Lift until spring shackle (7) is relieved of load.

Remove bolt (6) from spring shackle (7).



Secure axle to prevent it falling.

Unscrew nuts (2, 8) and remove bolts (9, 10).



Remove trailing axle

Install in the reverse order
