Pry radial shaft sealing ring (32a) out of rear axle differential (50) using a suitable tool


Do not damage seat surface of radial shaft sealing ring (32a).
Leaks can otherwise occur.



Install

Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in rear axle differential (50) using clean, lint-free rag and assembly cleaner


Assembly cleaner must not enter the rear axle differential  (50).
Otherwise, the rear axle differential (50) may be damaged.


The seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in the rear axle differential (50) must be free of oil and dirt.
Leaks can otherwise occur.

Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (32a) in rear axle differential (50) for damage

If damage is present:



Repair or replace rear axle differential (50).

Apply universal hypoid gear oil to sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (32a)


