Remove locking plate (4) on threaded ring (2)

Remove threaded ring (2)

 Prong wrench

Install

Clean thread on threaded ring (2) and on axle through-drive cover (1) so that it is free of grease

Apply light coating of sealant to complete thread surface of threaded ring (2).

Sealant Loctite 574, 50 ml

Apply a thin coating of sealant to first third of threaded area on axle through-drive cover (1)

Screw threaded ring (2) all the way into axle through-drive cover (1)

Adjust axial play of through-drive

The threaded ring must be tightened to the appropriate tightening torque corresponding to the used special tool.
The values when adjusting the axial play will otherwise be incorrect.

Secure threaded ring (2)

 When installing the locking plate (4), do not change the position of the threaded ring (2).

If the locking plate (4) cannot be attached:



Tighten threaded ring (2) further by max. 5°.
