Removing
1 Lever radial shaft sealing ring out of the wheel carrier.
When positioning the assembly lever clamp a wooden or plastic body between the assembly lever and rear wheel hub in order to avoid damage.

Install
2 Make a 1 mm dia. hole (5) in the end face of the radial shaft sealing ring (3).
Only carry out work step if the wheel carrier (2) does not have a vent groove (arrow).
The vent groove (arrow) or the hole (5) ensures that a pressure compensation takes place in the chamber of the rear wheel hub (1).
3 Slide radial shaft sealing ring (3) onto mounting device (4).
The end face of the radial shaft sealing ring (3) must point towards the differential. This prevents oil flowing from the chamber of the rear wheel hub (1) into the chamber of the differential.
4 Coat rubberized external surface of radial shaft sealing ring (3) with spirit.
5 Install radial shaft sealing ring (3) in the wheel carrier (2).
The hole (5) in the radial shaft sealing ring (3) must be in the center at the top. The sealing lip of the radial shaft sealing ring (3) must be greased.
