Install lower rear axle side gear (4) in differential housing with shim (3).

Mount differential pinion (6) and spherical washers (5) at differential spider (7).

Install differential spider (7) with differential pinions (6) and spherical washers (5) in differential housing.

Place upper rear axle side gear (4) with shim (3).

Fit cover (14) of differential housing.
The markings must match (same numbers opposite each other, see arrow).

Tighten mounting screws (13) for cover (14) on differential housing .

Insert drift (1) into upper rear axle side gear (4).

Fit torque wrench over drift (1).

Check friction torque (total friction moment) of differential and compare with specified value.
The total friction moment can be changed by adjusting the thickness of the shims (3). Shims (3) are available in thicknesses from 1.30 mm to 1.85 mm in graduations of 0.05 mm.

If necessary, exchange shims (3) and measure total friction moment again.
