1 | Remove the screws (6), and remove the safety locks (5) from the threaded rings (2,3) | ||

3 | Remove the bolts (9) and remove the bearing cap (8) | If necessary, detach the bearing cap (8) by applying light blows with a plastic hammer. | |
4 | Remove the outer race of the tapered roller bearing (4) | ||

6 | Check the ring gear and the pinion for damages and wear | If necessary, replace the ring gear and the pinion. | |
7 | Check the tapered roller bearings (4) | If necessary, replace the tapered roller bearings (4). | |
Install the tapered roller bearing in the differential housing | |||
Detach tapered roller bearings from differential case | |||
Detach tapered roller bearing from ring gear | |||
Attach tapered roller bearing to ring gear | |||

8 | Install the outer race of the tapered roller bearing (4) in the support bearing, at the differential's side | ||
9 | Install the threaded ring (3) at the differential side | Insert manually the threaded ring (3) until it touches the outer race of the bearing (4). | |
10 | Install the ring gear with the differential assembly in the differential set case (1) | | |

11 | Install the outer race of the tapered roller bearing (4) in the differential's opposite side | If necessary, lift a little bit the bevel gear with the differential. | |
12 | Install the bearing cap (8) | ||
13 | Install the screws (9) of the bearing housing cap (8) and tighten them with the tightening torque specified for the 1st stage | Differential mounting bearing cap | |
14 | Install the lock ring (2) | Insert manually the threaded ring (2) until it touches the outer race of the bearing (4). At the same time, spin the ring gear to center and seat the tapered roller bearings (4). If necessary, apply blows with a plastic hammer. There should have some backlash between the ring gear and the pinion. | |
15 | Adjusting the play of the teeth flanks on the differential assembly | ||
