Detach covers (1, 2)

Unscrew twelve-point collar nut (7) on rear axle shaft (8)

The vehicle with loosened twelve-point collar nut (7) must not be moved on its wheels.
Otherwise it could lead to wheel bearing damage.

 Installation: Replace twelve-point collar nut (7).

Remove corresponding rear brake disk

Remove rpm sensor at rear left or right and place to one side with connected line

Detach cable duct (3) from wheel carrier (4) and place to one side

Check whether the rear axle shaft (8) is firmly seated in the rear axle shaft flange

If the rear axle shaft (8) is jammed:



Remove wheel carrier (4) with brake cover plate (6) and angular contact ball bearing with rear axle shaft flange

Detach angular contact ball bearing with rear axle shaft flange from wheel carrier (4)

When replacing the wheel carrier (4) and when reinstalling the brake cover plate (6)

Modify brake cover plate (6)

When replacing the wheel carrier (4) and when reinstalling the brake cover plate (6)

Press the new rear axle shaft flange into the angular contact ball bearing until end stop

When replacing the wheel carrier (4)

 The new wheel carrier (4) is only delivered with angular contact ball bearing.

Install in the reverse order
