 Apply torque meter(4) to collar nut(2).

 Turntorque meter(4) clockwise with a constant speed and read out measurement value.

If measurement value is below tolerance range,



Adjust friction value  at drive pinion (1).

 Removetorque meter(4) from collar nut(2).

Attach  retainer wrench to driver flange (3) using two screws.

Increase tightening torque  of collar nut (2) within tolerance.

Remove  retainer wrench from drive flange (3).

Determine friction value  at drive pinion (1).

 To do so, repeat operation steps 1 to 3.

If measurement value is still below tolerance range,



Increase tightening torque  of collar nut(2) further within tolerance.

 Do not loosen or turn back the collar nut (2).
Otherwise components will be damaged.

If the tightening torque at the collar nut (2) is above the tolerance range as a result of adjusting the friction value,



Replace front axle differential.
