Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove steering knuckle.

Secure front axle shaft (4) against falling down.

Remove lower control arm (3).

 To do this, remove the bolts (5). Counterhold nuts of screws (5).

 Installation: Replace nuts.

 Bolt/nut, lower control arm to front axle carrier

Check

Check elastomer bearings and upper ball joint at lower control arm (3) for wear and damage.

If corresponding findings are present,



Replace lower transverse control arm (3).

Remove torsion bar linkage (2) from lower control arm (3).

When replacing lower transverse control arm(3).

Install in the reverse order.

Perform chassis alignment.
