Removing, installing



The shock absorber with front spring does not have to be removed to remove and install the upper wishbone

 Installation

Replace self-locking bolts and nuts

Remove front wheel



Press follower joint (8) out of steering knuckle (5)

Secure steering knuckle (5) with a wire (arrow) on the front spring to prevent it from tilting away

 Do not tension brake hose and electrical cables

Remove windshield washer system reservoir partially and swing to one side

Remove BAS control module

Remove BAS diaphragm travel sensor

Detach upper left wishbone (6) from frame

 Guide bolt through under ABS hydraulic unit bracket.

 Installation:  Tighten nut in ready-to-drive condition.

Remove air cleaner

Detach upper right wishbone (6) from frame

 Remove plastic cover (6k) in wheelhouse and steady nut using a suitable box wrench.

 Installation:  Tighten nut in ready-to-drive condition.

Check follower joint of steering knuckle mount
