Attach, remove

Remove air filter housing.

Remove seal (2).

Remove engine compartment covers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d).

Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter.

Remove 48 V wiring harness bracket from right rear cylinder head engine lifting lugs.

Unclip wiring harness from firewall and place to one side.

Detach windshield washer system washer fluid reservoir and place to one side with lines connected.

Attach adapter plates (04) to engine support fixture (01).

Attach engine support fixture adapters (03) and lifting devices (02) to engine support fixture (01).

Preset engine support fixture (01).

 Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.

Place engine support fixture (01) on suspension strut towers and longitudinal members.

 Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.
Helper required.

Adjust engine support fixture (01), align it horizontally and tighten threaded connections.

Attach shackles between lifting devices (02) and engine lifting lugs.

Tighten tensioning screws of lifting devices (02).


When lifting engine, do not subject engine mounts to tension.
The engine mount can get damaged otherwise.

Remove in the reverse order.
