1 | Open engine hood | ||
2 | Raise vehicle. | ||
3.1 | Detach middle and rear part of lower engine compartment paneling | Vehicles with gasoline engines | |
3.2 | Remove middle and rear part of bottom section of sound-proofing capsules | Vehicles with diesel engines | |
4 | Remove underfloor paneling behind the left front wheel | ||
5 | Relieve the residual pressure in the ABC [Active Body Control] system by loosening the union nut of the hydraulic line (5) on the pressure supply valve unit (52) | The engine must be shut off for at least 5 minutes. Open the union nut carefully so that the hydraulic fluid can flow out slowly. | |
Collect hydraulic fluid that flows out. | |||
6 | Loosen bolt (1) and twist hose clamp (2) through 90° | ||
7 | Unscrew bolts (3) and remove heat shield (4) | ||
8 | Detach and remove hydraulic line (5) from pressure supply valve unit (52) and distributor unit of front axle/rear axle (6) | Union nut, line to pressure supply valve unit | |

9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
