Attach cord assembly (1) to rear and front of frame using C-clamps

 The cord assembly can also be held in position on the vehicle by two people during measurement.



Stretch the cord between both measuring rods and adjust the distance to the vehicle frame

 Distance:

- with a straight vehicle frame at front and rear 1000 mm,

- with drawn-in vehicle frame 1000 mm at front and 1070 mm at rear.

Measure lateral distortion of vehicle frame

 with cord assembly.

 If the distortion lies outside the tolerance:



Repair lateral distortion of vehicle frame.

Measure deflection and torsion of vehicle frame

 with cord assembly.

 If the twist lies outside of the tolerance:



Straighten vertical distortion of vehicle frame.

Measure diagonal displacement of vehicle frame

 If the diagonal shift is outside the tolerance, replace vehicle frame.
