5 | Pull master cylinder with attached hydraulic line out of pedal bracket (10) and tie to one side | Only for vehicles without code GE1 (Automatic gear control (AGS)). | |

6 | Disconnect connectors from brake value sensor | Only for vehicles with code BB1 (Brake control (BS)) or with code BB8 (Brake control (BS) with ASR). | |

7 | Disconnect all cable ties from compressed air lines (2, 4, 5, 6, 7) | If necessary, detach electrical connections from coolant level switch. | |
Installation: Replace cable tie. | |||

Mark the installation position of the compressed air lines (2, 4, 5, 6, 7). | |||
Installation: Check O-rings and replace if necessary. Observe the markings indicating the installation position of the compressed air lines (2, 4, 5, 6, 7). | |||

10 | Detach electrical lines (8) from switch 1, clutch pedal (S85) | Mark installation position. | |

11 | Detach electrical lines (9) from brake light switch (S4) | Mark installation position. | |

12 | Detach electrical connection from switch 2, clutch pedal (S89) | Mark installation position. | |

13 | Detach connector from tachograph sensor (X36) | Installation: Attach new tamper-proof seal to connector for tachograph sensor (X36). | |
14 | Push tachograph sensor connector (X36) with rubber grommet inward through pedal bracket (10) | Installation: Make sure that the grommet is fitted correctly. | |
15 | Remove bolts (11) from pedal bracket (10) | Pedal bracket to firewall | |
16 | Remove pedal bracket (10) towards front | If necessary, detach the coolant expansion reservoir from the top firewall and push to one side. | |
Installation: Check seal on pedal bracket (10) for damage, replace if necessary. | |||
17 | Install in the reverse order | ||
18 | Adjust brake pedal | ||
19 | Start engine and completely inflate air brake system with idle speed | ||
20 | Switch off ignition | ||
21 | Check compressed air lines (2, 4, 5, 6, 7) for leaktightness | Leak detection spray |
