Pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of transfer case with a suitable tool.


Remove the radial shaft sealing ring (1) carefully and do not damage the seat in the transfer case.
Otherwise leakage may occur.

Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) for damage.

If damage is found,



Replace transfer case.

Install

Moisten sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring  (1) with transmission oil.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)

Press in radial shaft sealing ring (1) using drift (2) until the drift (2) makes contact with the transfer case.

 Replace radial shaft sealing ring (1).
