Remove/install

Move selector lever to position "N".

Disconnect ground line from battery.

Raise vehicle.

Remove safety clip (6).

Unhook shift rod (7).

Remove selector lever handle.

Remove cover of center shifter console (9).

Remove bolts (8).

Remove center shifter console (9) far enough until electrical connector (10) is accessible.

Release and disconnect electrical connector(10).

Remove center shifter console (9).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
