Remove

Remove multidisk brake B2.

Disassemble

Remove retaining ring (1).

Remove end disk (2).

Remove clutch pack (3).

Remove outer plate (4).

Remove disk spring (5).

Attach assembly device to multidisk brake B2 and place on disk spring (8).

Tension assembly device until retaining ring (6) is exposed.

Remove retaining ring (6).

 Pliers

Remove assembly device.

Remove disk spring (8).

Blow compressed air carefully into bore (B) of piston guide (11) and remove guide ring (7) with piston (9).

Remove sealing ring (9.1).

Blow compressed air carefully into bore (A) and remove piston guide (11) from outer plate carrier B2 (10).

 The external plate carrier B2 (10) also serves as the piston for the multidisk brake B3.

Remove sealing rings (10.1, 10.2, 11.1).

Check

Check end disk (2) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or traces of wear are visible,



Replace end disk (2).

Check clutch pack (3) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or worn disks are visible,



Replace disks of clutch pack (3).

Check outer plate (4) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or traces of wear are visible,



Replace outer plate (4).



Assemble

Lie new disks in transmission oil for at least one hour.

When replacing.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

Install new sealing rings (10.1, 10.2, 11.1).

 The rounded off edges must point outwards.

Attach piston guide (11) to outer plate carrier B2 (10).

Install new sealing ring (9.1).

 The rounded off edges must point outwards.

Install piston (9).

Install new guide ring (7).

Install disk spring (8).

 Insert disk spring (8) in such a way that curvature of inner circumference points toward piston (9).

Attach assembly device to multidisk brake B2 and place on disk spring (8).

Tension assembly device until groove for retaining ring (6) is exposed.

Install circlip (6).

 Pliers

Remove assembly device.

Install disk spring (5).

 Insert disk spring (5) in such a way that curvature of inner circumference points toward piston (9).

Install outer plate (4).

Install clutch pack (3).

Install end disk (2).

Install retaining ring (1).

Measure

Measure and adjust clearance of clutch pack (3).
