Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Shift automatic transmission to position "N".

Release parking brake.

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Raise vehicle.

Remove underfloor paneling at left.

If installed.

Disconnect electrical connector from intelligent servo module (4).

Remove screw/bolts (1).

Remove intelligent servo module (4) with vent hose (2).

Turn gearshift shaft (3) of automatic transmission counterclockwise all the way to position "D" (arrow).

If the intelligent servo module (4) is replaced.

Check

Check the gearshift shaft radial shaft sealing ring (3).

If the gearshift shaft radial shaft sealing ring (3) is damaged or leaky,



replace the gearshift shaft radial shaft sealing ring (3).

Remove/install radial shaft sealing ring of gearshift shaft

Install

Install intelligent servo module (4) with vent hose (2).

Screw in screws/bolts (1) .

 Standard bolt/hexagon-spacer bolt, shift module (ISM) to transmission housing

Connect electrical connector of intelligent servo module (4).

Install underfloor paneling at left.

If installed.

Lower vehicle.

Attach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Read out fault memory using vehicle diagnosis system and commission the intelligent servo module (4).

If the intelligent servo module (4) is replaced.



If corresponding findings are present,



Erase the fault memory.
