Start test as well as bleeding routine with vehicle diagnosis system.

 Select menu item "Oil level measurement with ultrasound unit".
Do not release parking brake nor generate any other disturbance variables that are not required in the work procedure during the whole test. All these factors lead to the measurement being aborted and therefore mean that the measurement has to be restarted.

After the end of the test and the bleeding routine, lift the vehicle.

Clean contact surface for sensor (1) at automatic transmission oil pan (2).

Coat sound exit areas of sensor (1) with brake paste.

Attach sensor (1) to contact area of automatic transmission oil pan (2) and read off automatic transmission fluid level at oil level sensor.

Open quick-release fastener (3) with  socket wrench.

Insert  socket wrench (4) into overflow pipe (5) until it engages.

If the automatic transmission fluid level is too low.
Turn socket wrench (4) to position 1 (A).

8.2

If the automatic transmission fluid level is too high.
Turn socket wrench (4) to position 2 (B) until enough automatic transmission fluid has leaked out that the specified value is displayed on the oil level sensor.

 After reaching the specified value, make sure that the socket wrench (4) is back in position 1 (A).

Remove socket wrench (4) from overflow pipe (5).

 Remove socket wrench (4) from overflow pipe (5) at position 1 (A) only.
Otherwise, when the quick-release fastener (3) is opened again, an undefined quantity of automatic transmission fluid will escape.

Attach  adapter (6) to automatic transmission oil pan (2) and connect oil dispenser.

If the automatic transmission fluid level is too low.

 Adjust air pressure at oil dispenser to 2 bar at the highest before filling automatic transmission.
Otherwise, the automatic transmission will be damaged.

Pour in automatic transmission fluid.

If the automatic transmission fluid level is too low.

 For each mm of deviation from the specified automatic transmission fluid level, fill 50 ml and an additional 250 ml of automatic transmission fluid.

Disconnect oil dispenser and remove adapter (6) from automatic transmission oil pan (2).

If the automatic transmission fluid level is too low.

Close new quick-release fastener (3) with  socket wrench.

Remove sensor (1) from automatic transmission oil pan (2).

Clean contact surface for sensor (1) at automatic transmission oil pan (2).

16

Lower vehicle.
