Remove rear end cover.

On transmission without power take-off

Pull out oil pump housing (3), oil pump gears (1, 2) and oil pump cap and remove shim (4).

 The oil pump cap is only installed on transmissions with power take-off.

Remove valve element (5 or 6).

 The valve element (5 and 6) is spring-loaded.



Install

Determine shim (4) for oil pump.

Fit determined shim (4) on oil pump housing (3).

Install oil pump housing (3) with shim (4).

 The roll pin (14) of the oil pump housing (3) must engage in the blind hole bore in the transmission housing.

Install oil pump gears (1, 2).

 The markings (arrows B) on the oil pump gears (1, 2) must point toward the oil pump cap and the rear end cover.
Oil the oil pump gears (1, 2).

Install oil pump cap.

Only on vehicles with power takeoff.

Install valve element (5 or 6).

 Replace O-rings.

 On vehicles with transmission oil cooling, the spring pin (A) of the valve element (5) must be in the "9 o'clock position".

Install rear end cover.
