If the production date of the support plate is prior to 10.2006, the support plate must be reworked: | |||
| Change support plate for transmission. | ||
3 | Press constant mesh gear (1) off countershaft (4) | ||
4 | Press 5th gear gearwheel (2) off countershaft (4) | ||
5 | Press 4th/3rd gear gearwheel (3) off countershaft (4) | ||
6 | Remove circlip (6) | ||
7 | Remove bearing inner race (5) | Puller | |
| Assemble | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. | Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. | |
8 | Heat up bearing inner race (5) to max. 80 °C and install | ||
9 | Install circlip (6). | ||
10 | Heat up 4th/3rd gear gearwheel (3) to max. 180 °C and install | ||
11 | Heat up 5th gear gearwheel (2) to max. 180 °C and install | ||
12 | Heat up constant mesh gear (1) to max. 180 °C and install | ||
13 | Insert countershaft (4) in the support plate | Support plate | |
14 | Assemble transmission |
