Remove/install

Unpressurized circuit 4 of compressed-air system

 See information from body manufacturer.

Drain automatic transmission fluid from power take-off (1)

 See information from body manufacturer.

Remove output flange from transmission (7)

Remove drive shaft from power take-off (1)

For power take-off (1) with propeller shaft.

 Propeller shaft to power take-off

Remove hydraulic pump

For power take-off (1) with hydraulic pump.

 Do not separate hydraulic lines if possible, collect hydraulic fluid if necessary.

Mark and disconnect electrical connector (10) on power take-off 1 control switch (S2)

 Installation: Observe the marking for the electrical connector (10).

Mark and disconnect electrical connector (11) on power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a)

 Installation: Observe marking for electrical connector (11).

Detach compressed air line (12) from power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or from power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a)

Secure power take-off (1) against falling down

Remove power take-off (1)

 The overpressure valve with bypass valve (8) or the overpressure valve (9) is under tension.

 Installation: Replace seal (6).

 Transmission with transmission oil cooling.
Installation: During installation, the pin (A) of the overpressure valve with bypass valve (8) must be in the "9 o'clock" position.

Remove oil pump housing (2) and oil pump gears (4, 5)

Only when exchanging transmission or retrofitting a power take-off (1).

 Installation:
The spring pin (3) for locking the oil pump housing (2) must latch into the bore in the transmission housing.
Otherwise; the oil pump housing (2) will be twisted during installation, and the transmission may be damaged.

 Installation: The markings (B) on the oil pump gears (4, 5) must face towards the transmission (7). Lubricate oil pump gears (4, 5).

Install in the reverse order

Pour in transmission oil and correct transmission oil level
