Check guide bearing (3) in flywheel (4) for ease of movement and wear

 In case of a complaint:



Replace guide bearing (3) in flywheel (4).

Check clutch friction surface on the clutch plate (5) by a visual inspection

 In event of wear, scorch marks, score marks or tears replace the clutch plate (5).

Check the mobility of the clutch plate (5) on the hub profile of the transmission input shaft

 The nickel plated hub surface of the clutch plate (5) must not be greased in order to avoid the clutch plate (5) jamming.

 It must be possible to slide the clutch plate (5) easily over the hub profile of the transmission input shaft, on the other hand this must also not exhibit excessive play, replace the clutch plate (5) if necessary.

Check clutch friction surface and diaphragm spring on the clutch pressure plate (1) by a visual inspection

 In the event of wear, scorch marks, scores or cracks (1) replace the clutch pressure plate.

Check clutch operator with clutch release bearing (2) on the clutch pressure plate (1) for ease of movement and wear

 In the event of a complaint, replace the clutch pressure plate (1) complete or:



Replace clutch operator with clutch release bearing (2).
