General information

Engine mounts must be replaced in pairs.

Disconnect ground line from battery

When removing the right engine support

Remove air filter housing

Loosen bolts (7) on engine mount (8)



Attach engine support frame

 Observe manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Remove left catalytic converter

Detach engine mount (8) from front-axle carrier; to do this, remove screws (10)



Lift engine using an engine support frame until engine mounts (8) can be taken out downwards

 Make sure, when lifting out engine, that no cables and lines are damaged and that engine does not hit against partition wall.

Remove bolts (7) and heat shields (9) downwards

 Installation: The anti-twist locks for engine support (6) must sit in the heat shield cutouts (9).

Detach oil line for automatic transmission from oil pan

Take out engine mount (8)

 Installation: The anti-twist locks for engine mounts (8) must fit in the recess clearances of engine supports (6).

 Observe environmental protection regulations for disposal of engine mounts,

Dispose engine mounts into mixed scrap.

Remove refrigerant compressor bolt on left engine support (6)



Remove engine support (6) from crankcase by removing bolts (65)



Remove engine support (6)

Right engine support

Remove bolt (4) and place ground line (5) to one side

Remove engine support (6) from crankcase by removing bolts (65)


