7 Coolant pipe

8 Screw

4 Cover

5 Coolant hose

6 Screw

Remove/install

Drain coolant

Remove engine trim panel

Remove bolts (6, 8) and pull back coolant pipe (7)

Detach coolant hose (5) at charge air manifold (3)

Installation: Check clamp, replace if necessary.

Lift cover (4) and unscrew bolts (2)

Installation: Cover (4) must engage correctly in cylinder head cover.

Remove coolant thermostat (1) on charge air manifold (3)

Installation: Clean seal on coolant temperature sensor (1), if applicable, replace coolant temperature sensor (1) and clean sealing surface on charge air manifold (3).

Install in the reverse order

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
