Remove/install

Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain and collect the coolant

Remove the coolant hose from the thermostat housing cover (5)

Remove the thermostat housing cover (5)

Remove the bolts (6).

Install: Install new sealing rings (8).

Remove the coolant thermostat (7)

Install: Note the mounting position of the coolant thermostat (7).

Check the coolant thermostat (7)

Install in reverse order

Check the coolant level, if necessary, correct the level

Check cooling system for leakages
