Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Open coolant cap (1) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

 Turn coolant cap (1) counterclockwise one half-turn, release the pressure, then unscrew coolant cap (1).

Remove bottom sections of soundproofing

Slide collector siphon hose onto fitting (4) at radiator

 The fitting (4) is located at bottom left of the radiator.

Open radiator drain plug (3) and drain coolant

 Collect coolant in coolant container (01a). Observe regulations for disposal of coolant.

Tighten radiator drain plug (3).

 To do this, remove siphon hose from fitting (4).

Filling

Screw on test cap (02) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Attach control unit (01b) to test cap (02).

Attach venturi nozzle (01c) to control unit (01b).

Close drain valve (01d) and feed valve (01e).

Attach coolant feed hose (7) to coolant container (01a)

 Make sure that at least 2 liters extra coolant are in coolant tank (01a) than the maximum fill quantity of the coolant system so that no air is drawn in.



Guide the waste air hose (8) into an empty container (9)

Connect the compressed-air hose (10) to the venturi nozzle (01c) and apply pressure.

Open the drain valve (01d).

 A vacuum is created in the cooling system.

Open feed valve (01e) until feed hose (7) has filled with coolant.

Close drain valve (01d) as soon as the display of control unit (01b) is in the green area.

Detach compressed air hose (10) from venturi nozzle (01c) and monitor if the vacuum remains stable for 30 seconds.

 If this is not the case, check hoses and connections. Tighten or replace them if necessary and then create a vacuum again.

Open the feed valve (01e).

 The cooling system is filled.

Open drain valve (01d) if coolant is no longer suctioned.

Remove control unit (01b) along with all connections and test cap (02).

Correct coolant level up to marking in coolant expansion reservoir (2)


