Detach lower engine compartment paneling

 Installation: Install engine compartment paneling only after the engine test run.



Remove air filter housing

Remove oil dipstick (1).

Detach hose (2) of crankcase ventilation system from centrifuge cover (3).

Remove retaining clamp (4) of electrical wiring harness from oil dipstick guide tube (5)

Unscrew bolt (6)



Lift dipstick guide tube (5) up and out

 Installation: Replace the sealing ring (7) of the dipstick guide tube (5). When fitting the oil dipstick guide tube (5), ensure the sealing ring (7) is not pressed into the oil pan.

Install in the reverse order

Check engine oil level approx. 5 minutes after switching off the warm engine, if required adjust to correct level

 The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on the wheels, otherwise false measurements occur.

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
