Remove/install oil dipstick guide tube

Remove/install

 Danger!

Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases, even sever extremities

No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Remove engine trim panel

 Grasp with both hands and pry off. Check gasket, replace if necessary.

 Installation: When placing the engine cover, ensure that the seal is correctly seated at the oil filler neck. The seal should not be pressed down by the engine cover, but must lie against the engine cover .

Detach heat shield from exhaust manifold

Remove bolts (3) and engine wiring harness

Detach oil filler pipe automatic transmission from engine oil dipstick guide tube (1)

Remove bolt (4) from bracket (2)

Remove bolts (5)

Pull engine oil dipstick guide tube (1) out of the cylinder crankcase (10)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring. When fitting the sealing ring that it is not pressed into the cylinder crankcase (10).

Install in the reverse order

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks while it is running
