Remove/install

Remove noise damper in front of charge air cooler.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after engine test run.

Release the poly-V-belt (2) and remove it from the tensioner pulley (3) of the tensioning device.

 Leave the pin stuck in the locking hole.

Unscrew threaded cap (4) at oil filter housing (1).

 Collect dropping engine oil with a suitable rag.

If the oil filter housing (1) is reused,



Replace O-ring on threaded cap (4).

Remove screw (5).

 Bolt, oil line to oil filter housing

Detach oil line (6).

 Collect escaping engine oil with a suitable rag.

 Installation: Replace O-ring.

Seal openings on the oil filter housing (1) and on the oil line (6) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove the bracket (7).

Remove bolts (8).

 Bolt, oil filter housing to crankcase

Remove the oil filter housing (1).

 Collect escaping engine oil with a suitable rag.

 Installation: Replace seal.

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check the engine oil level using the oil dipstick; correct it if necessary.


The engine oil level must not lie above the maximum marking.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.
