Slacken poly-V belt and remove from alternator belt pulley with the LIN bus (G2/7)

Check poly-V belt for wear and damage

In event of wear or damage



Replace poly-V belt

Remove contact protection (1)

Remove electrical lines (2, 3) on alternator with the LIN bus (G2/7)

 Nut, circuit B+ to alternator

Disconnect electrical connection (4) on alternator with the LIN bus (G2/7)

To do this remove screw/bolts (5)

 Screw/bolt, alternator to crankcase

Remove screw/bolt (6) and remove bracket (7)

Remove upper screw/bolts (5) and remove alternator with LIN bus (G2/7)

 Screw/bolt, alternator to crankcase

Check

Check contact surface and freewheel of the belt pulley for damage

without CODE MJ7 (ECO start/stop function)

If damage is present



Replace belt pulley for alternator with LIN bus (G2/7)
