 	Remove/install
1	Lift/jack up vehicle		AR00.60-D-1000H
2	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-D-0003SD
3	Detach electrical line for circuit 30 (1) and electrical line for circuit 50 (2) on starter (M1)		*BA15.30-N-1002-01G
			*BA15.30-N-1003-01G
4	Remove bolts (3)		*BA15.30-N-1001-01G
5	Remove starter (M1)
	Checking
6	Check ring gear for wear and check for damage	 In the case of damage or wear the ring gear must be replaced. See: 
		With transmission 711.660/685
		Remove/install a flywheel	AR03.30-D-8002SF
		With transmission 722.683
		Remove/install drive plate	AR03.30-S-8003SE
7	Install in the reverse order
