Remove screw/bolts (2)

 Screw/bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to exhaust gas recirculation valve housing

 Set of flexible head wrenches

Unscrew screw/bolts (3) and take off exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4)

 Turn exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4) when removing from the mixing chamber (5) counterclockwise.

 Installation: Screw on screw/bolts (2, 3) by hand until the flange faces are even.

 Bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to mixing chamber

Take off seals (6)

 Installation: replace seals (6).



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on mixing chamber (5) and clean exhaust gas recirculation valve housing (1)

Clean sealing surfaces on the exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4)

Only if the exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4) was not replaced.

Install in the reverse order

 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check area around the exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4) for leaktightness
