Remove

Remove air compressor

 For this compressed air compressor type no work instructions has been created so far.

Install air compressor in the retaining plate of locating tool


Do not tension the air compressor in a vise.
When tightening the crankcase (8) can deform.

Remove connection fitting of the air line, the air intake duct and the coolant lines on cylinder head (7)

Only when replacing the cylinder head (7).

Remove screw/bolts (1 to 6) and remove cylinder head (7)



Check

Check piston and cylinder barrel on air compressor for damage and wear

If wear or damage present



Replace air compressor.

Check removed cylinder head (7) for leaks

In the event of recognizable leaks



Replace cylinder head (7).



Install

Attach the cylinder head (7) with new screw/bolts (1 to 6) and the first stage on crankcase

 Use new seal.
The picture item (1 to 6) of the screw/bolts represents the tightening sequence.

Slacken screw/bolts (A to G)

Only if the cylinder head (7) was replaced.


If cylinder head (7) of the air compressor has been replaced the screw/bolts (A to G) must be loosened before tightening since these have not yet been tightened according to specification in the delivery condition.
Leaks may occur otherwise.

Tighten screw/bolts (A to G) with the first stage

Only if the cylinder head (7) was replaced.

 The picture item of the screw/bolts (A to G) represents the tightening sequence.

Tighten screw/bolts (1 to 6) according to second stage

 The picture item of the screw/bolts (1 to 6) represents the tightening sequence.

Tighten screw/bolts (A to G) with the remaining stages

Only if the cylinder head (7) was replaced.
