5 | Remove left and right bolts on radiator support and press radiator towards front | ||
6 | Swivel tensioner pulley for clamping device (3) downwards and hold or block with suitable pin | ||
7 | Remove fan poly-V belt (2) from fan belt pulley (1) and belt pulley (5) | ||
8 | Swivel back tensioner pulley of tensioning device (3) | Only for a clamping device (3) without blocking hole. | |
9.1 | Remove fan clutch with fan on fan belt pulley (1) | Only for vehicles with code (MZ3) Electromagnetic viscous coupling for fan or without code (MZ5) Electromagnetic fan drive (Linnig clutch). | |
Block the belt pulley of the fan (1) with the relevant tool. | |||

10 | Press fan or fan clutch with fan forwards and bind up; remove fan poly-V belt (2) | ||

11 | Check fan belt pulley (1), tensioner pulley on clamping device (3) and guide pulley (4) for damage and smooth operation; replace if necessary | Replace any damaged parts. | |
12 | Check belt pulley (5) for damage; fit a new one if necessary | Replace belt pulley (5) if necessary. | |
13 | Check condition of poly-V belt for fan (2) | If required, replace poly-V belt for fan (2). | |

18 | Push radiator towards the back and fit it at the radiator support on the left and right | ||
