Remove/install

Remove upper engine cover (1).

Remove engine air intake duct(2).

 Installation: Ensure correct seating of the hoses and guides on the engine air intake duct (2).

Remove impact plate (3).

4

Relieve clamping device (4) and fix with a 4 mm thick pin.

Remove the poly-V-belt(5).

Do not use belt wax or similar products.
The poly-V belt (5) will slip otherwise.

Check poly-V-belt (5) for wear and damage.



If there is a problem,



Replace the poly-V-belt (5).

Check guide pulley (6) for wear and damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace guide pulley(6).

Check belt pulleys of alternator (G2) and refrigerant compressor for wear and damage.

Remove/install alternator

Check belt pulley of coolant pump for wear and damage.

If there is a problem,



Replace coolant pump.

Install in the reverse order.

Finishing activity

 Warning

Risk of burn injuries, suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.

Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
