3 | Unfasten charge air cooler and pull to the front with attached coolant lines | ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 251 | |

Installation: | |||
To do so, swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise, remove poly-V belt and detension clamping device (1). | |||
Installation: Observe poly-V belt routing diagram. | |||

5 | Check belt pulley sections, the tensioning device (1) and the guide pulley (2) | Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary. | |

Only perform steps 5 through 8 for remove/install of clamping device (1) | |||
7 | Lock clamping device (1) | Swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise and lock in place using drift (5). | |
8 | Remove screw/bolts on clamping device (1) | Screw/bolt, poly-V belt tensioning device to timing case cover | |
9 | Remove clamping device (1) upwards | ||
10 | Slacken clamping device (1) | When replacing the clamping device (1) | |
Clamp clamping device (1) in a vise, swivel at hexagon (4) in a clockwise direction, pull out drift (5) and slacken clamping device (1). | |||
Installation: The clamping device (1) can only be installed when locked. | |||
Only perform operation steps 9 and 10 for remove/install of the guide pulley (2) | |||
11 | Remove bolt of guide pulley (2) | Screw/bolt, guide pulley to carrier | |
12 | Remove guide pulley (2) | ||
13 | Install in the reverse order |
